Backline One
About

One partner, close by, working your hours.

Backline One builds nearshore back-office teams for European businesses. We are based in Skopje, North Macedonia, and we work for small and mid-sized businesses across the EU, in German and English.

Why nearshore

North Macedonia is in Central European Time. Same working day, same meeting hours, a short flight from most of Europe, a workforce educated inside European business culture.

Proximity is the argument: reachable in the same hours, briefed in the same meeting, working to the same deadlines. You raise something at eleven and it is being worked on at eleven, not read the following morning.

What the name means

Backline

The work that keeps a business running and never appears in its pitch. Invoices entered, records kept current, the queue worked, the pack ready for the accountant. A plain description, not a metaphor.

One

One contract, one named lead, one monthly invoice, one place the work lives. That is the shape of the relationship, not the number of services in it. Starting with one or two is a good way to begin.

One

Start with one service. The structure is the same.

One contract

One agreement, with services added to it as the work grows.

One named lead

A named person who knows the business and answers for the work.

One invoice

Monthly, itemised by service, whether that is one line or four.

One record

Everything documented in one place you can read.

How we work

We do not start with a predefined team or a fixed way of working and ask you to fit your business into it. We start by learning how your processes work, what your team needs, where time is being spent, and where extra support would make the most difference. Only then do we build the team and structure around it.

We work inside your systems, to your rules, in your hours. The people doing your work are trained on your processes and systems, and the named lead is the person you raise things with.

Not every business needs a full-time person. If your work fills half a role, your agent may also work for another company, and you pay for the share you use. You still have one named person who knows your business and answers for your work.

If your needs change, we change with you. If you need more support, we grow the team. If a process needs handling differently, we adjust it.

We are not looking to be another distant outsourcing provider. The aim is to be an extension of your team: people who understand how you work, take ownership of what you hand them, and stay with your business over the long term.

Approval stays with you. We prepare, check, chase and hand back; the decisions that need an owner in your business keep that owner.

Where we are now

Backline One is new. We are setting up the company in Skopje and, before we build anything, talking to businesses about the work that slows them down.

That is deliberate. Starting small means we work with a few companies, you deal with the founders, and the first teams are built around what those companies actually need.

Data handling

We work inside your own systems wherever you prefer it, and we do not copy personal data out of them without a written instruction. North Macedonia sits outside the EEA, so how your data is handled and protected is agreed in writing before any work starts.

Book a call. We find what is slowing you down, then write the scope that answers it.
